Platinum Custom Trailers & Fabrication and Platinum Auto Transport, Inc. is
currently primarily outfitting and Fabricating enclosed car trailers. The
Company moved from Florida to its new location in Blackshear, GA 31516.
The company’s introduction to manufacturing enclosed car trailers was
spawned by the owner’s 15-year involvement in the nationwide automobile
transportation industry. The owner and CEO, have a strong background in the
enclosed car carrier industry and have worked as an owner operator for the
leading companies in the industry such as: Ryder Logistic Commercial
Carriers, F.J.Boutell a division of Ryder, Allied Ltd., Fleet Car Carriers,
and Tropical Auto transport a sister Company of Centurion. Who better to
know the tools that a driver will need to handle this every changing and
demanding career than an ex-driver, owner-operator and business owner.
During his quest to find used
enclosed car trailers, he discovered three things; first, there were a
limited amount of used enclosed car trailers available. Secondly, there is a
great need for used enclosed car trailers equipment and finally, the prices
for new enclosed car trailers were very expensive. With his 15 years of
experience operating and fixing various types of trailers such as the 1985
Delevan 2875 and the 2000Delevan 3200, he began his adventure into
manufacturing enclosed car trailers.
His primary goal in doing this was to lower his initial equipment cost and also to build enclosed car trailers from a driver’s perspective in the area of operation. Finally, he wanted to build enclosed car trailers that were durable enough to hold up to the rigors of every day use. The first proto- type was built and put into use and served the company well. Soon afterward, he began to get enquiries from other enclosed car transporters to build enclosed car trailers for them. Prior to this our enclosed car trailer outfitting was solely for our company’s private use. We started manufacturing and outfitting enclosed car trailers for the public in 2006. Transporters began supplying used enclosed car trailer shells for us to outfit. The demand was so great, we decided as a company to focus fully on the outfitting of enclosed car trailers for the public. Since 2006 our product has been able to bring innovation and affordability to the enclosed car trailer industry.
